Each part is rated on one scale for every smartwatch and band, from reviewers' accuracy tests and measured battery life where they exist, what reviewers found, specs and owner reports. It rates the product itself, not how good it is for the price.

Pros

  • Heart rate matches a chest strap on rides, runs and even weights averages
  • Dual-band GPS close to a Garmin reference
  • About four days per charge with heavy tracking
  • Thinner, more refined titanium case
  • Sleep timing close to a reference system
  • Very bright 5,000-nit screen
  • About three days with always-on

Cons

  • No physical bezel or crown
  • Several health tools need a Samsung phone
  • Only one size
  • Body fat reads 2-3 points above a smart scale (consistent though)
  • Sleep scores don't always match how you feel
  • Big, chunky case
  • Elevation gain overstated on rides and hikes
  • Wareable2026

A true four-day Wear OS watch; against a Garmin HRM-600 chest strap its average heart rate was within half a beat on a 3-hour indoor ride and an interval run, GPS distance on a 5-mile run was within 50 m of a Garmin dual-band reference, and sleep start/end landed within 5-10 minutes of an Eight Sleep reference.

  • Tom's GuideSep 2026

A clear step up on brightness, battery (about 72 h with always-on), water rating and comfort; walking tracks matched an Apple Watch Ultra 3, but elevation gain was often inflated against a Garmin Instinct 3, and it still trails the best sports watches for workouts. No chest-strap test.

  • DigitSep 2026

Samsung's best all-round Android watch: slimmer, bigger battery, very bright screen, and it never needed a daily charge even with LTE and GPS; readings looked consistent but were not checked against reference devices.

  • 91mobiles2026

Tough, fast and the most feature-loaded smartwatch around, lasting 2.5-3 days with always-on and daily GPS; tracking seemed right but was not compared with other devices, and the best health features need a Samsung phone.

Common complaints

  • Runners report a VO2 max estimate bug that Samsung had not fixed by late October 2026
