Each part is rated on one scale for every smartwatch and band, from reviewers' accuracy tests and measured battery life where they exist, what reviewers found, specs and owner reports. It rates the product itself, not how good it is for the price.

Pros

  • Heart rate reliable next to a chest strap
  • Dual-band GPS a real upgrade over Venu 3
  • Sleep duration close to an Oura ring
  • Metal case feels premium
  • Torch on both sizes
  • Brighter screen
  • Accuracy on par with Garmin's best

Cons

  • Much pricier than Venu 3
  • Still few smart features
  • Sleep scores generous and stages differ from Oura
  • Only two buttons, more screen smudges
  • About five days with always-on
  • Expensive
  • No offline maps
  • The most polished Venu yet: heart rate held up against a Garmin HRM 600 chest strap in hard workouts, dual-band GPS stayed close to a Forerunner 970, and sleep length was usually within 10 minutes of an Oura Ring 4; but the price jump makes it hard to recommend to casual users.

  • Live ScienceMar 2026

After seven weeks: wrist heart rate was great on runs and all day (a chest strap still wins for sharp spikes in gym work), dual-band GPS excellent under trees and tall buildings, and battery about a week with GPS workouts.

  • TechRadarOct 2025

A gem for keen exercisers who want a smart-looking watch: in a run against a Polar H10 chest strap it averaged 151 bpm vs 156 bpm (started low in the first kilometres, then tracked closely), and lasted about 10 days with plenty of workouts.
