Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 October 2026
This policy explains what information Gifng ("we", "us") collects when you use gifng.com, why, and the choices you have. Gifng is a deals website: we list offers from online stores such as Amazon and Flipkart. You don't need an account to use it.
Who we are
Gifng (gifng.com), India. For anything about your data, write to privacy@gifng.com.
What we collect
- Usage information, collected automatically: pages you open, deals you view or tap, searches on our site, how far you scroll, time on page, the website that sent you, and technical details such as browser, device type, screen size, approximate location (city or region, from your IP address) and language.
- Heatmaps and session recordings: we use Microsoft Clarity to see, in aggregate and through recordings, where people click, tap and scroll so we can improve the layout. Text you type in forms is masked and is not recorded.
- Advertising information: Google AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads and measure them, including personalised ads where allowed.
- Security logs: our host, Cloudflare, processes IP addresses and request details to protect the site against abuse and attacks.
- On your own device: your light/dark theme choice and a short-lived list of deals you've already seen (used for our "heat" score) are stored in your browser, not on our servers.
- What you send us: if you email us, we keep your email address and message to reply.
We don't ask for your name, phone number, address or payment details, and we don't sell personal data.
Why we use it
- To run the website and show you deals.
- To measure which deals and layouts work, and improve the site (analytics, heatmaps).
- To show ads that help keep Gifng free.
- To keep the site secure and prevent misuse.
- To reply to you when you contact us.
Shopping links
When you tap "Buy", you go to the store's own website (for example Amazon or Flipkart). Many of our links are affiliate links, so the store knows you came from Gifng; the store may set its own cookies. Anything you do on the store's website, including purchases, is covered by that store's privacy policy, not ours.
Who we share it with
We use these service providers, who process data on our behalf or as independent controllers under their own policies:
- Google (Google Analytics, AdSense): how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Microsoft (Clarity): Microsoft Privacy Statement.
- Cloudflare (hosting and security): Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Anthropic (Claude): we use AI to write short product summaries from product details. No visitor data is sent to it.
These providers may store data outside India. We may also disclose information if required by law.
How long we keep it
Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months. Clarity recordings are kept for a limited period set by Microsoft (typically 30 days; heatmap data longer in aggregate). Security logs are kept briefly by Cloudflare. Emails are kept as long as needed to deal with your request.
Your choices and rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, nominate someone to act for you, and raise a grievance. Email privacy@gifng.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time (and within the time the law requires). You can also:
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings (see our Cookie Policy).
- Turn off personalised ads at Google Ad Settings.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, analytics and advertising storage stays off unless you agree to it.
Grievance officer
For complaints about how your data is handled, contact our grievance officer at privacy@gifng.com.
Children
Gifng is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us personal data, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
We'll update this page if our practices change, and change the date at the top.
