Each part is rated on one scale for every smartwatch and band, from reviewers' accuracy tests and measured battery life where they exist, what reviewers found, specs and owner reports. It rates the product itself, not how good it is for the price.

Pros

  • Excellent wrist heart rate, close to a chest strap
  • About two days per charge
  • Cardio Load and Readiness free for all
  • Running efficiency metrics
  • Works with any Android phone
  • Vivid 2,000-nit display
  • Over a day with always-on, two with light use

Cons

  • GPS tracks show offsets and notches
  • Battery drains fast during GPS workouts
  • Cannot pair chest straps or bike sensors
  • No triathlon or open-water mode
  • Touchscreen poor when wet
  • 45mm feels bulky
  • Lots of apps to juggle
  • DC RainmakerSep 2024

Heart rate against a chest strap was near-perfect on interval runs and only slightly late at ride intervals, on par with Apple and Garmin; GPS was so-so with small offsets in suburbs and cities; sleep times within 5-7 minutes. One of the best Wear OS sports watches.

  • 91mobiles2024

Indian review of the 45mm: a dependable fitness and productivity companion and easy pick for Android users who are fine with its size; no accuracy comparison done.

  • BeebomSep 2024

Well built with a lovely screen and clean software, but only 15-16 hours with always-on, slow charging and a high price make it a mixed bag; sleep logged far more awake time than a Galaxy Watch 7. Buy only on sale.

Reported by many owners

Common complaints

  • In October 2026 many Pixel Watch 2 and 3 owners reported sudden battery drain (under half a day for some), even after a factory reset; no cause or fix from Google yet at the time
