Each part is rated on one scale for every smartwatch and band, from reviewers' accuracy tests and measured battery life where they exist, what reviewers found, specs and owner reports. It rates the product itself, not how good it is for the price.

Pros

  • Very accurate dual-band GPS even among tall buildings
  • Heart rate only slightly off a chest strap on runs
  • Strong safety features such as Loss of Pulse Detection
  • Tough, repairable design
  • Safety alerts for lost pulse and breathing emergencies
  • Monthly blood-pressure and insulin-resistance trend reports
  • GPS improved over earlier Pixel watches

Cons

  • Needs charging daily or every other day
  • Gemini on the wrist can't yet do tasks for you
  • Full health insights need a monthly subscription
  • Costs more than the Pixel Watch 4
  • Same design, screen and rated battery as before
  • Some features region-locked at launch
  • Sleep accuracy could not be checked against a reference
  • TechRadarSep 2026

On a route known for GPS dropouts it tracked as well as an Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Garmin Fenix 8 Pro, and heart rate stayed close to a Polar H10 chest strap; a small step over the Pixel Watch 4 but the best Android watch so far, held back by short battery.

  • Tom's GuideAug 2026

GPS distances on two walks came slightly closer to a Strava reference than an Apple Watch Ultra 3, and heart rate matched the Apple watch (no chest strap used); leads on safety features but is a minor update with a higher price.

  • Android CentralAug 2026

Heart rate tracked a Garmin watch more closely than other wearables tested, though one 5K saved no GPS route; a great watch but hard to pick over a discounted Pixel Watch 4 while features are missing.
