Rugged Instinct body, 10 ATM; no torch

Each part is rated on one scale for every smartwatch and band, from reviewers' accuracy tests and measured battery life where they exist, what reviewers found, specs and owner reports. It rates the product itself, not how good it is for the price.

Pros

  • Long battery from the always-readable MIP screen
  • Same rugged Instinct body and 100 m water rating
  • Older heart-rate sensor acceptable at its price

Cons

  • Features cut back towards the original Instinct
  • No torch, unlike Instinct 3
  • Priced like the older, better-equipped Instinct 2
  • Uses last-generation heart-rate sensor
  • the5krunnerJan 2025

Launch commentary, not a hands-on test: the writer sees it as an Instinct 2 with fewer features at a similar price and doubts its value for outdoor users; no heart-rate or GPS accuracy checks.

  • Android CentralFeb 2025

Opinion piece on the Instinct 3 range; only says that an older heart-rate sensor is a fair trade-off at the Instinct E's lower price. Not a test of this watch.
