Pros

  • Well-made body
  • Pleasant keyboard
  • Wi-Fi 7 and Copilot+ features
  • Long battery life
  • Accurate touchscreen, often silent
  • Outstanding battery life (about 30 h video test)
  • Metal build that feels above its price

Cons

  • RAM soldered and insides hard to reach
  • Only 60Hz
  • Weak graphics
  • Loud fan under load
  • No charger included
  • Modest speed
  • Plain screen with limited colour range
  • NotebookcheckJun 2025

Tested 16GB/512GB: a quiet, fast-enough daily laptop with long runtimes, but priced too close to the better 13.8-inch Surface Laptop.

  • PCMagAug 2025

Tested 16 GB/512 GB: superb battery life and a premium metal build, but a bit slow, with a basic screen; most people may be better served by a MacBook Air or Zenbook 14 OLED.

  • T3Jun 2025

A balanced, beautifully built Windows laptop with all-day-plus battery (about 12 h of mixed work); the reflective 60 Hz screen is the main compromise.

  • The GuardianJun 2025

A smaller, trimmed-down Surface Laptop that feels premium and lasts about 14 hours of work, but it costs close to bigger, better-equipped models.
