For the starting version. Each part is measured the same way for every laptop (processor and graphics from benchmark results) and moves up or down with what reviewers praise or criticise.

Pros

  • Bright, accurate 2.5K 180 Hz screen (about 486 nits, 100% sRGB)
  • Keeps cool and quiet without throttling
  • Strong processor speed over long loads
  • Simple to open and upgrade, with a spare SSD slot
  • Fast charging, 1080p webcam and wired LAN
  • Runs cool with very stable frame rates
  • Sharp, bright 1600p screen that handles glare well

Cons

  • Costs a lot for an RTX 5050
  • Needs DLSS or lower resolution in heavy games at native 2.5K
  • Ships with one RAM stick
  • Under 3 hours of video playback
  • Only two USB-A ports, some sit beside hot vents
  • Similar money buys an RTX 5060 elsewhere
  • Average speakers
  • DigitJul 2026

Tested the India 15-ga0028TX (Core i7-14650HX, RTX 5050 at 115 W): well-made, cool and quick, but the RTX 5050 feels weak for the price; the RTX 5060 version is the better buy.

  • MySmartPrice

Tested India Core i7-14650HX + RTX 5050 (115 W) version: pricier than rivals with faster graphics, but the sharp screen and calm, steady cooling justify it for some buyers.

  • NotebookcheckOct 2026

Tested US 15-ga0931nr (Core Ultra 9 386H, RTX 5070 at 85 W, OLED - not an India version): solid, serviceable mid-range gamer with a lovely OLED, but the low-power RTX 5070 trails rivals.

  • Tom's HardwareSep 2026

Tested US Core Ultra 9 386H + RTX 5070 (85 W) OLED version: plays games well and the OLED shines, but the cheap-feeling build and missing features make it hard to justify at its price.
