For the starting version. Each part is measured the same way for every laptop (processor and graphics from benchmark results) and moves up or down with what reviewers praise or criticise.

Pros

  • Strong CPU and GPU speed for its class
  • MUX switch, Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1 and 2.5G LAN
  • Easy to add RAM and a second SSD
  • Flicker-free screen
  • Keyboard and sound are good
  • Cooling holds CPU and GPU clocks well
  • Room to upgrade RAM and storage

Cons

  • Washed-out colours (about half of sRGB)
  • Only about 3.5 hours of video on battery
  • Wobbly glossy lid that shows fingerprints
  • Just three USB ports
  • Plastic body
  • Lid flexes
  • Pale colours on the screen
  • LaptopMediaDec 2024

Tested ANV16-71 with Core i7-14650HX and 85 W RTX 4060: lots of speed for the money and well-kept temperatures, let down by a dull screen and short battery.

  • LaptopMediaMay 2024

Tested ANV16-41 with Ryzen 7 8845HS and RTX 3050 6GB: one of the better budget gaming picks thanks to its cooling, upgrade room and a bright full-sRGB 165 Hz panel.

  • NotebookcheckDec 2024

Tested ANV16-41 with Ryzen 7 8845HS and 85 W RTX 4060: good speed per rupee, but the picture quality was clearly an afterthought.

  • PCWorldSep 2024

Tested ANV16-41 with Ryzen 7 8845HS and RTX 4060: plays games very well for the money, but battery life is weak.
