Each part is rated on one scale for every smartwatch and band, from reviewers' accuracy tests and measured battery life where they exist, what reviewers found, specs and owner reports. It rates the product itself, not how good it is for the price.

Pros

  • Superb GPS distance accuracy against a foot pod
  • Nearly two weeks per charge with always-on off
  • Handsome design and quick interface
  • Lots of features for the money
  • Premium build and big, attractive screen
  • Dual-frequency GPS matched an Apple Watch Ultra
  • Strong workout features with route import

Cons

  • Among the worst workout heart-rate results the reviewer had seen
  • Thin structured-training features
  • Only about 8 hours of full-accuracy GPS in practice
  • Heart rate low during runs, especially at the start
  • No payments or music streaming
  • Sleep duration and deep sleep unreliable against Whoop
  • About a week with heavy use
  • Five runs (60 km) against a Stryd foot pod: distance off by only 0.79% on average, but heart rate was 9.2% off a MyZone chest strap and often locked onto cadence; a stylish, long-lasting budget smartwatch, not a training tool.

  • GPS distances matched an Apple Watch Ultra and known routes, but run heart rate read about 10 bpm low and sleep often ran long with far less deep sleep than a Whoop 4.0; a well-made watch with good GPS and weak heart-rate tracking.
