For the starting version. Each part is measured the same way for every laptop (processor and graphics from benchmark results) and moves up or down with what reviewers praise or criticise.

Pros

  • Thin, premium build
  • Very good keyboard and big smooth touchpad
  • Battery lasts all day and more, and recharges quickly
  • S Pen works well; clean software without junk apps
  • Battery lasted about 12 hours in the lab test
  • Very accurate colours
  • Good speed for office work; decent light gaming for built-in graphics

Cons

  • Slows down with many apps open even with 16GB
  • Fans get loud under load
  • Glossy screen reflects a lot and the pen drags on it
  • Too heavy to use as a tablet for long, and nowhere to keep the pen
  • Some ports are in awkward places
  • Only Full HD on a 15.6-inch screen
  • Not bright enough outdoors
  • TechRadarApr 2025

Tested version not named (Core Ultra 5/7, 16GB): a beautifully made 2-in-1 with huge battery life for work and films, but noisy fans and a heavy tablet mode.

  • Lab test of the Core Ultra 5 226V / 16GB version: a classy office laptop with excellent battery and accurate colours, but not a tool for professionals.
