For the starting version. Each part is measured the same way for every laptop (processor and graphics from benchmark results) and moves up or down with what reviewers praise or criticise.

Pros

  • Processor and graphics both run at full power and beat some pricier rivals
  • Screen covers the full sRGB range and is fairly bright, usable for editing too
  • Feels solid in the hand
  • Quiet, grown-up design with good build
  • Handles most AAA games at high 1080p settings
  • Fast screen suits esports
  • Very fast top-end hardware in this body

Cons

  • Keyboard area gets uncomfortably warm under load
  • Squeezed key layout leads to mistypes at first
  • Costly, and the low-key look will not please everyone
  • Short time away from the charger
  • Keyboard feels crowded
  • Display is only average for gaming
  • Fairly heavy to carry
  • DigitMar 2024

Tested the Indian 16-wf1025TX (Core i7-14700HX, RTX 4060 at 140 W, 16 GB, 1 TB, FHD 165 Hz) at Rs 1,49,999: one of the strongest 1080p gaming machines for the money, if you can live with a hot deck and a tight keyboard.

  • 91mobilesJun 2024

Indian unit around Rs 1.5 lakh (CPU/GPU not stated in the summary we saw): understated but well-built laptop that runs most big games well at 1080p; battery is the weak point.

  • Notebookcheck

Tested a European top model (Core i9-14900HX, RTX 4080 at 145 W, QHD 240 Hz) not sold in India: same chassis, strong and fairly quiet when the right fan mode is chosen.

  • PC Online (China)Jul 2024

Chinese Omen 16-wf1 (sold there as Omen 10), configuration not stated: quick and well cooled for the price, with an ordinary gaming screen.

  • CellphoneS Sforum (Vietnam)Jan 2025

RTX 4070 version: attractive, powerful and well cooled with plenty of ports, but heavy, with weak speakers and a so-so screen.

  • TweakersAug 2024

Quick test of the AMD Omen 16-xf (Ryzen + RTX 4070, Europe only, not the Indian wf1): long battery life and a second SSD slot, but no fingerprint reader and a dim screen.
