  • Gaming performance
  • Sturdy build

Cons

  • Looks and ergonomics are an acquired taste
  • Gets hot inside under long heavy loads
  • Screen disappoints at this price
  • Weak speakers
  • Weak webcam
  • 1920x1200 base screen
  • Weak screen
  • Ultrabook ReviewOct 2023

Tested 2023 G614JV with Core i9 and RTX 4060/4070: among the strongest mid-range gaming laptops of its year, a cheaper and simpler take on the Scar 16.

  • Laptop MagApr 2023

Tested a 2023 G614J: fast, lasts well on battery and types well, but the screen is not good enough for what it costs.

  • Digit WeekApr 2023

Tested US G614JI-AS94 (Core i9, RTX 4070): a strong 16-inch gaming pick with solid build and a nice keyboard; the base 1920x1200 screen feels low for this hardware.

  • CanaltechJun 2023

Brazilian review (version not stated): powerful and well built with effective cooling and long battery life, let down by the screen and ergonomics.

  • Noticias 3DMar 2023

Spanish review of a Core i9-13980HX + RTX 4060 unit with the ROG Nebula screen: lovely display, strong hardware and quiet, cool running; heavy and bulky.
