Live ScienceNov 2022
Worn with a Garmin Fenix 7 and Apple Watch Series 8, average and max heart rate came out close, though it overshot on spikes and GPS was slow to lock; a likeable casual tracker with smartwatch extras and long battery.
-
Tom's GuideFeb 2024
Heart rate read 10-15 bpm below an Apple Watch Ultra and a Pixel Watch on several workouts, but sleep tracking felt right; an easy, good-looking fitness tracker more than a true smartwatch.
-
Trusted ReviewsOct 2022
Against a chest strap, peak heart rate in hard sessions was sometimes 8-10 bpm off and GPS was slow and middling; reliable sleep and steps, but fewer features than the Versa 3 it replaced.
Reported by many owners
Common complaints
- A Fitbit app bug in early 2026 kept turning screen wake back to automatic after each sync, so the screen lit up on every wrist turn and the battery ran down faster; Fitbit's moderators said they were working on a fix
