Good dual-band GPS behind Fenix; HR can lock onto cadence

Build & comfort

Tough, 10 ATM, MIL-STD; bulky, heavy on thin wrists

Each part is rated on one scale for every smartwatch and band, from reviewers' accuracy tests and measured battery life where they exist, what reviewers found, specs and owner reports. It rates the product itself, not how good it is for the price.

Pros

  • Steady-pace heart rate matched chest straps
  • Sleep numbers close to rings and Apple Watch
  • Offline maps and navigation
  • About 20 days without GPS, 10 with always-on
  • Mostly accurate dual-band GPS
  • Long battery life
  • Smooth interface and nice watch faces

Cons

  • Heart rate off at high intensity
  • GPS tracks wobblier than a Fenix 8
  • Bulky on small wrists
  • Screen not the best
  • Slow 3-hour charge
  • Wrist heart rate unreliable, cadence lock seen
  • Octagonal case uncomfortable on thin wrists at night
  • Wareable2024

Against Polar and Garmin chest straps, steady workouts matched but hard-effort peaks were up to 10 bpm off; GPS was less tidy than a Garmin Fenix 8 but distance and pace were close, and sleep matched two smart rings and an Apple Watch. A better and cheaper outdoor watch than rivals.

  • the5krunnerOct 2024

Excellent value adventure watch with good battery, maps and screen; GPS was good though behind a Fenix 8, and chest-strap comparisons showed heart rate sometimes locking onto cadence, so use a strap for training.

  • AdvntureSep 2025

Heart rate stayed within about a beat of a Coros Pace 3 (no chest strap) but lagged on quick pace or slope changes; rugged, big-screened and map-capable, a sound pick for budget adventurers.
