Light aluminium band, fiddly charger

Each part is rated on one scale for every smartwatch and band, from reviewers' accuracy tests and measured battery life where they exist, what reviewers found, specs and owner reports. It rates the product itself, not how good it is for the price.

Pros

  • Packs ECG and stress (EDA) sensors into a light band
  • About six days per charge in normal use
  • Can send heart rate to some gym equipment
  • Often sold below its price
  • Workout numbers fairly close to a Garmin and an Apple Watch
  • Sleep breakdown similar to an Oura ring on test nights
  • Physical button is back; Google Maps and Wallet on the wrist

Cons

  • Built-in GPS often failed to lock or dropped out
  • Heart rate behind Apple and Garmin, worse when worn loose
  • No altimeter, so no floors climbed
  • Screen too small to read comfortably while running
  • Charger clip is fiddly and can come off
  • Several useful insights sit behind Fitbit Premium
  • GPS repeatedly gave up and fell back to guessing distance
  • TechRadarNov 2023

Next to an Apple Watch and a Garmin Forerunner 265 its heart rate was only passable, often wrong for the first minutes of a run, and the built-in GPS kept failing; a good casual tracker, not a sports watch.

  • Tom's GuideAug 2024

Workout tracking came out close to a Garmin Forerunner 265 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 in most modes (GPS slower to lock), and sleep stages were near an Oura ring; one of the best everyday trackers, though not for marathon training.

  • Trusted ReviewsOct 2023

Compared with a chest strap and Garmin, heart rate held up at steady pace but missed big swings in intervals, and the built-in GPS was close to unusable; excellent for sleep and daily health, not for keen athletes.

  • PhoneArenaOct 2023

Run next to a Pixel Watch 2 showed the band's GPS track was usually poor, but sleep detection looked right and heart rate seemed good; a simple, long-lasting tracker for people who don't need GPS.

Reported by many owners

Common complaints

  • A Fitbit app bug in early 2026 kept turning screen wake back to automatic after each sync, so the screen lit up on every wrist turn and the battery ran down faster; Fitbit's moderators said they were working on a fix
