What reviewers say

Good

  • Premium build with a soft-feel glass back
  • Natural, excellent still photos
  • Polished display and strong haptics
  • Good speakers
  • Battery life much better than before
  • Handy voice typing and bundled Gemini Pro
  • Camera Looks and Magic Capture, good zoom

Not so good

  • Crashes and app glitches during setup and use (Instagram, YouTube)
  • Dropped calls and patchy WhatsApp calling
  • Feels slower than rivals; BGMI capped at 60fps
  • No 120fps video
  • Gets warm while charging; charging slower than Chinese rivals
  • Camera bar picks up scratches and dust
  • Heavy at 226 g
  • MySmartPrice87/100

One of the most enjoyable Android flagships of 2026, held back by software glitches and a slower feel than rivals.

  • PhoneArena75/100

Hard to justify at Galaxy Ultra money, but still the pick for anyone who wants Google's own clean Android.

  • TechRadarRecommendedSep 2026

More a software refresh than new hardware; worth it coming from a phone about three years old, skippable for recent Pixel owners.

  • Tom's GuideNot recommendedAug 2026

Decent but not a must-have; small upgrades, ordinary battery and weak performance make last year's model a smarter buy.

  • BGRNot recommendedSep 2026

A great daily phone with the best Android camera they had used, but most buyers would do better with the cheaper Pixel 11.
