Pros

  • Strong 1080p and esports gaming
  • Long battery life for a gaming laptop
  • Plenty of ports
  • Undercuts rivals on price
  • Good 1080p gaming for the price
  • Accurate colours, no screen flicker
  • Strong multi-core performance

Cons

  • Dim 290-nit screen
  • No Thunderbolt or face/fingerprint login
  • AMD chip trails Intel in some work
  • Slow screen response for fast shooters
  • Screen could be brighter; backlight bleed
  • Thin lid flexes
  • Weak 720p webcam
  • PCWorldJul 2023

Tested Ryzen 7 7735HS + RTX 4060 (140 W): great value with strong 1080p gaming and surprisingly long battery life; the screen is too dim.

  • NotebookcheckJun 2023

Tested FA507NU-LP031 (Ryzen 7 7735HS, RTX 4050 at 95 W, 16 GB): a good budget 1080p gaming laptop with an accurate, flicker-free 144 Hz screen; the screen is dim and slow and the build feels cheap in places.

  • StuffSep 2023

Tested Ryzen 7 7735HS + RTX 4060: hard to beat for value, plays new games well at 1080p and lasts long enough for everyday work. Date from Notebookcheck's review list (not shown on the page).
