Pros

  • Low price
  • Cool and quiet in use
  • Fairly slim and light for a 15.6-inch
  • Good touchpad and decent ports
  • No PWM flicker
  • Fast processor for a budget office laptop
  • Comfortable keyboard and smooth touchpad

Cons

  • Washed-out, dim screen (TN panel on the tested unit)
  • RAM can't be upgraded
  • Only one SSD slot
  • Plastic body
  • Dim, low-contrast TN screen with poor viewing angles
  • Screen flickers (PWM at low frequency)
  • No keyboard backlight
  • LaptopMedia (summary on Notebookcheck)Dec 2024

Tested EX215-33, Core i3-N305, 16 GB, 1080p panel: fine for home, school and office basics, light and quiet, but the screen is poor in colour, brightness and contrast.

  • NotebookcheckFeb 2022

Older EX215-54 generation (tested Core i5-1135G7, 8 GB, 256 GB, TN screen; same Extensa 15 design): strong processor for the money and a comfortable keyboard, let down by a dark, low-contrast screen that flickers.
