Pros

  • Starts and wakes very fast
  • Smooth with many tabs and apps
  • Pleasant keyboard and touchpad
  • Good speakers
  • Recharges in under an hour
  • Fast for a Chromebook
  • Comfortable keyboard

Cons

  • About 5 hours in its battery test, far below the claim
  • Only one USB-A port, no Ethernet
  • Average webcam
  • Heavier and thicker than rivals
  • 8 h 21 min battery, below the Chromebook average
  • Dim screen (about 270 nits) with dull colours
  • Sluggish touchpad tracking
  • TechRadarSep 2024

A quick, smooth Chromebook for work and light games, held back by short battery life and few ports (tested: Core i3-1215U, 8 GB, 128 GB - US model, India has i3-1315U).

  • Laptop MagMay 2024

A bargain big-screen Chromebook whose speed outweighs its modest specs, but the screen and battery are weak (tested: Core i3-1215U, 8 GB, 128 GB).

  • Trusted ReviewsOct 2023

Probably the best laptop for the money if you don't need Windows: well built and should last for years; the touchpad is the main weak point (tested: 12th-gen Core i5).

  • Expert ReviewsNov 2023

Excellent value and one of the strongest Chromebook Plus models; the dim screen and average battery matter less given its speed and comfort (tested: Core i5-1235U, 8 GB, 256 GB).
