Score breakdown
Sleep fair; workout HR and SpO2 badly off
Screenless; a few Galaxy gestures
About 4 days measured; battery-failure reports
Poor workout heart rate, no GPS
Light titanium ring, 10 ATM
Each part is rated on one scale for every smartwatch and band, from reviewers' accuracy tests and measured battery life where they exist, what reviewers found, specs and owner reports. It rates the product itself, not how good it is for the price.
Pros
- Light and comfortable
- Sleep data looked more believable than an Apple Watch Ultra 2's
- Over four days with sleep tracking and 10 workouts
- Clever charging case, no subscription
- Slimmer and lighter than Oura
- Finish still pristine after a month
- Battery-backed clear charging case
Cons
- Workout heart rate far below an Apple Watch on two runs
- Blood-oxygen readings wildly off
- No iPhone support
- Pricey against strong rivals
- Only about 4 days, short of the claim
- Heart rate during exercise was bad, steps a bit high
- Bright sensor lights at night

Digital TrendsAug 2024
Good ideas and strong sleep tracking, but on runs next to an Apple Watch its average heart rate read 35-45 bpm low and SpO2 often showed implausible low-80s numbers; buy an Oura first.
-
Android AuthorityAug 2024
A first-generation ring with half-baked features: resting heart rate and SpO2 looked fair, but workout heart rate was poor and sleep did not line up with an Oura Ring 3 or a Withings sleep mat.
-
TechRadarJul 2024
A well-rounded, wear-and-forget wellness ring with very good sleep tracking for Samsung Health users; software trails Oura and nothing was measured against a reference device.
-
Android Central (India)Oct 2024
At its Rs 38,999 India launch price it cost more than in the US and more than an LTE Galaxy Watch7, while tracking only as well as a budget band; the Amazfit Helio Ring gave steadier heart-rate readings in their tests.
-
DigitJul 2024
First impressions only: very light and comfortable titanium ring that works best as a partner to a Galaxy Watch, not a replacement; no testing done.
Reported by many owners
Common complaints
- Many owners report the battery suddenly lasting only a day or a few hours instead of several days; Samsung acknowledged it on its forums, replaced or refunded some rings and later pushed a firmware fix for some units
