For the starting version. Each part is measured the same way for every laptop (processor and graphics from benchmark results) and moves up or down with what reviewers praise or criticise.

Pros

  • Deep blacks and very wide colour range on the OLED
  • Comfortable keyboard and touchpad
  • Strong everyday speed for its class, and the Arc graphics punch above their weight
  • Fast storage
  • Light enough to carry daily
  • Light, stiff aluminium body
  • About 11 h of video playback

Cons

  • Reflective glossy screen
  • Low-frequency PWM may bother sensitive eyes
  • Slow 5 Gbps USB-C and old HDMI 1.4b
  • 16GB memory can never be upgraded
  • Noisy keys and rattly touchpad clicks
  • Weak webcam colours
  • Memory soldered and only one SSD slot
  • NotebookcheckMar 2024

Tested 14IMH9 with Core Ultra 5 125H, 16GB and OLED: a well-rounded slim 14-inch with a superb-contrast screen, if you can live with the glossy finish, flicker and fixed memory.

  • LaptopMediaJul 2024

Tested 14AHP9 with Ryzen 5 8645HS and IPS screen: compact, quick and quiet with long battery life, but the basic IPS panel is only for office work - pick OLED for colour work.
