  • Fast SSD, second SSD slot

  • Strong CPU and RTX 4050 performance

Cons

  • Plain matte plastic body
  • Dim (about 315 nits), narrow-colour screen (about 62% sRGB)
  • Only one USB-C, no Thunderbolt/USB4, all ports 5 Gbps
  • Slower Realtek Wi-Fi 6
  • Small arrow and Enter keys
  • No Advanced Optimus (restart to switch graphics)
  • Loud in Performance mode
  • NotebookcheckMay 2024

Tested 16-r1073ng (Core i7-14700HX, RTX 4060 120 W, 83 Wh battery; a European version): strong 1080p gaming and long battery life, let down by a dull screen, few ports and a weak Wi-Fi chip.

  • DigitJul 2023

Tested 16-r0075TX (2023 model, same body; Core i5-13500HX, RTX 4050 120 W, 165 Hz screen, India): strong performance and good value, with a firmer hinge than older Victus models, but thin on storage and ports.

  • TechRadarJan 2024

Tested 16-r0097nr (2023 model, same body; Core i7-13700H, RTX 4050, 60 Hz screen, US): very good 1080p gaming and about 7 hours of web browsing, but priced higher than other RTX 4050 laptops.
