For the starting version. Each part is measured the same way for every laptop (processor and graphics from benchmark results) and moves up or down with what reviewers praise or criticise.

Pros

  • Much faster CPU and graphics than the previous Swift Go
  • Bright OLED with full sRGB and P3 colour
  • Bigger touchpad and sharp QHD webcam
  • Easy to open, with a free M.2 slot
  • Stiff metal body with 180-degree hinge
  • Fast for an ultraportable
  • Wide-colour OLED

Cons

  • Fans rise quickly under mixed load
  • Colours not very accurate out of the box; 300 Hz PWM
  • Soft keyboard and some deck flex
  • Soldered RAM, slow microSD reader
  • Fans loud at full speed
  • Weak, distorting speakers
  • Glossy screen reflects outdoors
  • NotebookcheckDec 2023

Tested the near-identical SFG14-72 (Core Ultra 7 155H, 32GB, 1TB, 2.8K 90Hz OLED): big speed jump over the 13th-gen model and a bright, punchy OLED, but noisy fans and unfinished tuning at test time.

  • MezhaAug 2024

Tested SFG14-73 (Core Ultra 7 155H, 32GB, 1TB, 2.8K 90Hz OLED): a tough, quick work ultraportable with a wide-colour screen and plenty of ports; loud fans and a short-of-a-day battery are the catches.

  • Trusted Reviews

Tested 2024 Core Ultra 7 155H, 32GB, 1TB OLED (UK model): quick for work and creative jobs with an excellent, accurate OLED, if you can live with a plain, chunky look.

  • iTWireJun 2024

Tested 2024 Core Ultra 7 155H, 16GB, 512GB OLED (Australian model): a good-value, well-equipped thin laptop with long battery life; just not one for games.
