For the starting version. Each part is measured the same way for every laptop (processor and graphics from benchmark results) and moves up or down with what reviewers praise or criticise.

Pros

  • Light and clean design
  • Quiet fan, cool keyboard under load
  • Decent battery life for a 41 Wh pack
  • Webcam privacy shutter
  • Clear speakers

Cons

  • Soldered single-channel RAM on Ryzen 7020 Zen 2 versions
  • Single slow PCIe 3.0 x2 SSD slot
  • Keyboard flexes in the middle
  • No USB-C charging
  • Tested HD TN screen: about 50% sRGB, 290:1 contrast, narrow viewing angles
  • LaptopMediaJan 2025

Light, comfortable budget laptop for basic work with a quiet fan and decent battery for its size, but the soldered-RAM Zen 2 chip slows with many apps open; a Ryzen 5 7530U / 7730U version with RAM slots is the better buy (tested 15-fc0000 with Ryzen 5 7520U, 8 GB, 512 GB, 1366x768 TN screen).
