For the starting version. Each part is measured the same way for every laptop (processor and graphics from benchmark results) and moves up or down with what reviewers praise or criticise.

Pros

  • Stylish, stiff all-metal body
  • Good, loud Dolby Atmos speakers
  • Reasonable battery life (about 9.4 h video)
  • Good typing feel and smooth glass touchpad
  • Wide port choice incl. Ethernet and microSD

Cons

  • Dull screen: about 296 nits, 55% sRGB, ghosting
  • No keyboard backlight on the tested unit
  • Grainy 720p webcam
  • Hard to open for SSD upgrades
  • Expensive for what you get (at UK price)
  • Expert ReviewsDec 2024

Tested Core 7 150U, 8 GB, 512 GB, 15.6-inch 1080p IPS (UK version): stylish, well-made metal laptop with a good keyboard, speakers and battery life, let down by a dull, low-colour screen; it needs to be much cheaper.
