For the starting version. Each part is measured the same way for every laptop (processor and graphics from benchmark results) and moves up or down with what reviewers praise or criticise.

Pros

  • Screen gets reasonably bright
  • Plenty of ports, including Ethernet, microSD and Mini DisplayPort
  • Strong value for 1080p gaming
  • Typing and trackpad are pleasant for long sessions
  • Sturdy chassis
  • Over 9 hours in PCMark 10 office battery test
  • Good wireless (Wi-Fi 6E) and ports

Cons

  • Washed-out colours (under half of DCI-P3)
  • Keyboard deck bends and the off-centre touchpad is awkward
  • Thin, hollow speakers
  • Graphics results weak for an RTX 4060
  • Battery lasted only about 3.5 hours
  • Grainy 720p webcam
  • Dim panel with banding, weak blacks and motion blur
  • Laptop MagJul 2024

Very harsh: everything from the keyboard to the graphics results felt below par for the money, so the reviewer pointed buyers to cheaper rivals (tested: US G6 KF 2024, Core i7-13620H, RTX 4060, 16 GB, 512 GB, 165 Hz 1200p; Notebookcheck converts this review to 50%).

  • iTWireMay 2024

A sensible pick for gamers on a tight budget: real gaming power, a comfy keyboard and long office battery life, if you accept a dull screen and weak sound (tested: Australian G6 KF, Core i7-12650H, RTX 4060, 16 GB DDR5-4800, 512 GB).
