For the starting version. Each part is measured the same way for every laptop (processor and graphics from benchmark results) and moves up or down with what reviewers praise or criticise.

Pros

  • CPU and RTX 4060 pair well for Full HD gaming
  • 165 Hz G-Sync screen covers nearly all of sRGB and does not flicker
  • RAM, SSD and Wi-Fi card can all be swapped
  • Fast Wi-Fi in testing
  • Bright screen with wide colour coverage
  • Good mid-range gaming speed
  • Opening it up to upgrade is easy

Cons

  • Thick, heavy plastic body plus a 330 W brick
  • Cannot charge over USB-C
  • No USB port on the left for a wired mouse
  • Small touchpad and shallow keys
  • Colours are off until calibrated, some backlight bleed
  • Webcam is poor
  • Gets hot, especially underneath
  • NotebookcheckJun 2023

A strong 1080p gamer for the money with a good 165 Hz panel, held back by its weight, odd port layout and so-so input devices (tested: i7-13650HX, RTX 4060 140 W, 16 GB, 512 GB).

  • Tom's HardwareSep 2023

A capable mid-priced 1080p gamer with a bright, colourful screen; skip the entry version and pick a mid or higher one (tested: i7-13650HX, RTX 4060 140 W, 16 GB, 1 TB, 165 Hz).

  • Tom's GuideDec 2023

Fine as a stay-at-home gaming machine, but too bulky and short on battery for carrying around or for work (tested: i7-13650HX, RTX 4060, 16 GB, 1 TB, 165 Hz).

  • T3Aug 2023

Lots of gaming muscle for a fair price, though the styling divides opinion and the charger is a pain to carry (tested: G15 5530, i7-13650HX, RTX 4060, 16 GB, 165 Hz).

  • LaptopMedia

Keeps its hardware cool, but the plastic body is still heavy and the charger is big even on the lower GPU (tested: Intel HX CPU with RTX 4050 at 140 W).
