For the starting version. Each part is measured the same way for every laptop (processor and graphics from benchmark results) and moves up or down with what reviewers praise or criticise.

Pros

  • Enough speed for everyday productivity and schoolwork
  • Screen is flicker-free and the body stays reasonably cool
  • Easy to open and upgrade, with a spare RAM slot
  • Uses little power
  • Steady performance for office and study use
  • Lighter and easier to carry than the previous model
  • Bright, even matte screen

Cons

  • Dull colours and slow pixel response on the display
  • Performance drops under sustained load
  • Wi-Fi dropped out often in testing
  • Body flexes and HDMI stops at 1080p 60 Hz
  • Only one RAM stick fitted
  • Around 5 hours of battery in use and in the video test
  • Single-channel memory out of the box
  • NotebookcheckMay 2026

Does just enough for school and office work on a budget, but Dell's savings on cooling, RAM and screen hold it back (tested: Core Ultra 5 225H, 16 GB single stick, 1 TB, US unit).

  • 91mobilesApr 2026

A careful update that keeps to the basics: dependable speed and a decent screen, let down by short battery life and an old-looking plastic design (tested: India unit, Core Ultra 5 225H, 16 GB, 512 GB, Rs 77,890).

  • Exhibit.techJun 2026

Good-value Windows machine for students, families and office users who just need everyday work done (tested: Core Ultra 5 225H, 16 GB, 1 TB).
