Pros

  • Sturdy for a budget laptop
  • Lots of ports incl. Thunderbolt 4 and LAN
  • Two RAM slots and two M.2 slots, easy to upgrade
  • Cool to the touch while gaming
  • Strong CPU performance
  • 144 Hz screen

Cons

  • Washed-out, dim screen (about 45% NTSC)
  • Battery lasts only about 3 hours
  • Average webcam
  • Small arrow keys
  • No USB-C charging
  • Plastic base and keyboard deck
  • Small, spongy arrow keys
  • 91mobilesAug 2024

Tested FX506HF (Core i5-11400H, RTX 2050 70 W, 16GB): good value for budget gamers at around Rs 50,000, let down by a dull screen and short battery life.

  • NotebookcheckJun 2021

Tested FX506HM (Core i7-11800H, RTX 3060 95 W, 90 Wh battery; not sold in India now): strong performance in a plain plastic body with a mediocre screen and few extras.

  • LaptopMedia

Tested the first FX506 (Core i7-10870H, GTX 1660 Ti; same chassis and 48 Wh battery): a sensible budget all-rounder with good cooling, but the 144 Hz screen is slow and narrow in colour.
