What reviewers say

Good

  • Classic glass design with IP68
  • Bright HDR10+ OLED screen
  • Very good stereo speakers
  • Seven years of updates and Galaxy AI
  • Flagship-level speed
  • Solid cameras overall
  • Larger 6.7-inch screen

Not so good

  • Virtual proximity sensor
  • Heavy with thick bezels
  • Launch price too close to S24+
  • No charger in the box
  • Only 8GB RAM
  • No autofocus on selfie and ultrawide
  • No LTPO, thicker bezels
  • GSMArenaOct 2024

Very well-rounded phone without big flaws, but at launch price the S24+ made more sense; worth it once the price falls.

  • GSMArena (S24 FE vs S24 comparison)RecommendedNov 2024

Pick the FE if you want a bigger screen for less money; the S24 wins on size, LTPO screen and low-light ultrawide.

  • GSMArena (S25 FE vs S24 FE comparison)RecommendedDec 2025

Gives nearly the same experience as the newer S25 FE for less, with better ultrawide and zoom photos.

  • PhoneArena (S24 Ultra vs S24 FE comparison)RecommendedDec 2024

The sensible buy for people who don't need top specs; main camera and CPU speed come close to the Ultra.
