For the starting version. Each part is measured the same way for every laptop (processor and graphics from benchmark results) and moves up or down with what reviewers praise or criticise.

Pros

  • Over nine hours of web use from a small battery
  • Two RAM slots and an M.2 slot make upgrades simple
  • Flicker-free screen with decent contrast; comfortable keys and a numpad
  • Neat, smart design
  • Processor is quick enough for daily work
  • Light for a 15.6-inch laptop
  • Handles many open apps well, with a fast SSD

Cons

  • All-plastic body bends under light pressure
  • Screen shows only about half of the sRGB colour range
  • Keyboard has no backlight on this model
  • No separate graphics chip for games
  • Screen quality is poor
  • Ergonomics are only so-so
  • LaptopMedia

Tested the 15s-eq3000 (Ryzen 5 5625U, sister of the Indian eq2 Ryzen 5 5500U models): a plain budget machine that lasts well and is easy to upgrade, held back by a flimsy body.

  • Mi Mundo GadgetSep 2023

Spanish 15s-eq2152ns (Ryzen 5 5500U, 16 GB): tidy everyday laptop with a good processor, but basic extras.

  • Mi Mundo GadgetOct 2022

Spanish 15s-eq2122ns (Ryzen 5 5500U, 12 GB): light and good at multitasking, let down by its screen and ergonomics.
