For the starting version. Each part is measured the same way for every laptop (processor and graphics from benchmark results) and moves up or down with what reviewers praise or criticise.

Pros

  • Light and easy to carry
  • Clean, simple look
  • Typing feels good
  • Attractive design for the money
  • Low price
  • Keyboard is comfortable

Cons

  • Slows down when juggling several apps
  • Colours shift when viewed off-angle
  • Body feels cheap
  • Higher configurations are overpriced
  • Struggles with heavier multitasking
  • Fan noise gets annoying
  • TechRadarFeb 2026

Small, light and plain-looking with a nice keyboard, but slow with many apps open, a weak screen and a cheap body; the dearer versions cost too much for what they are (tested: US 14-ep1070nr, Core 5 120U, 8 GB, 256 GB).

  • PCWorld (summary on Notebookcheck)Mar 2024

A good-looking, cheap and portable 14-inch machine with a comfortable keyboard, held back by weak multitasking and a noisy fan (tested: 14-ep0865no, Core i3-1315U, European model).
