For the starting version. Each part is measured the same way for every laptop (processor and graphics from benchmark results) and moves up or down with what reviewers praise or criticise.

Pros

  • Very easy to open and upgrade: two RAM slots, swappable SSD, Wi-Fi card, battery and fan
  • 120 Hz screen option and a full keyboard with number pad
  • SD card reader and quick SSD
  • Finish resists fingerprints, hinges feel steady

Cons

  • Washed-out colours (about half of sRGB) and PWM flicker below full brightness
  • Single 8 GB stick holds performance back
  • Conservative CPU power limits
  • Only average battery life
  • HDMI limited to 1080p 60 Hz; USB-C carries data only on the plastic model
  • Basic 720p webcam, one microphone, no shutter
  • LaptopMediaMay 2026

A practical, very upgradeable office laptop, but the version matters: tested plastic Carbon Black with one 8 GB stick showed washed-out colours, flicker and only average battery life (title: practical office laptop with big configuration traps).
