Over-ear cable keeps it secure; seal fiddly, stock tips

Each part is rated on one scale for every earbud and headphone, from lab test measurements where they exist, what reviewers found, specs and owner reports. It rates the product itself, not how good it is for the price.

Pros

  • Clear sound with solid low end, precise mids, bright top
  • Holds up at low and high volume
  • Blocks stage noise well
  • Many tip sizes, adjustable ear hook, sturdy case
  • Strong, smooth bass with no crackle at high level
  • Stays put with the cable over the ear
  • Sturdy adjustable cable

Cons

  • Getting a good seal is fiddly, and bass depends on it
  • Guitar highs can turn shrill
  • Stock tips fit poorly, may need replacing
  • Better for stage than mixing
  • MixdownJun 2016

A very good stage in-ear: clean, punchy and loud, and you forget you're wearing it once it seals.

  • Guitar Chalk

Hands-on stage test with little to fault; on par with or better than Shure's SE line for live use.

  • Performer MagazineJul 2016

The entry E-series model sounds far better than its price suggests.
